This summer, I went on many amazing adventures all over our great nation. I kicked off the summer by conquering Half Dome, Yosemite's most dangerous hike. I like overcoming my fear and trying new things. The only way to learn in life is to experience and make memories. My experiences has a huge effect on my philosophy of teaching; students learn best through experiencing.

Living abroad
For two years of my life, I lived and worked in Costa Rica. The school that employed me was called El Centro de la Educacion de la Creativa also known as The Cloud Forest School. The Creativa is an environmental school teaching, local Costa Ricans and international students alike, bilingually. Nestled in the northern mountainous region of Monteverde, many people from all walks of life come there to work and learn together. I was fortunate enough to practice my Spanish, learn about local ecology, biology, and culture, and even travel all around Central America.
